Our ensemble is composed of amateur and professional musicians in the community, along with alumni of the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra (TYWO). We strive to present high quality, above average musical performances, while always creating a friendly, inviting and welcoming environment for our musicians.
Our main repertoire consists of a balanced mix of original pieces composed for wind band, challenging contemporary works, as well as some light music.
We are currently recruiting new musicians for our ensemble. Being an alumnus of TYWO is not a requirement for membership — members of the community are encouraged to join us! Please contact metropolitanwinds@tywo.ca for more information.
